Now that we are home in Thailand, we want to thank you for all of your help in arranging our Jewels of Mongolia tour this past month. The Naadam festival is the biggest celebration of test of courage, strength, dexterity, and marksmanship of Mongol nomads. Naadam takes place on 11-12 July and features "Three Manly Sports": wrestling, horse racing and archery.
This month's featured accommodation is Steppe Nomads tourist ger camp in serene Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve, only 2hr drive from Ulaanbaatar. The nomadic style eco camp offers 24 roomy and comfortable Mongolian gers, along with tasty dishes and a good range of wine and a great range of activities.
